Kostić dancers Noëmi Wagner and Blazej Jasinski teach a new offline workshop series, especially for dance students and dance professionals. In these workshops, working with both human partners and objects is the central focus. How do you truly ‘dance together’ with others, and how do you do so with objects? What are the different approaches needed? How do you use the resistance and unruliness of objects in your favour?
The content of this workshop is inspired by our experiences in working with life-size dominoes in the most recent Kostić projects How It Ends.
There will be two live workshop sessions, with each their own focus point. That is why the workshops are interesting to follow individually, but also as a series.
– Saturday 29 May: Freerunning, balance, partnering, craftiness and composition – Work on precision, gaining awareness, building courage and determination
– Saturday 26 June: Freerunning, Catch & Throw, Balancing and Craftiness – Developing creativity by playfully combining objects and bodies in space.
This workshop is only for professional dancers or dance students. Before the start of the workshop, we will arrange for Covid-19 testing to take place (at additional cost), so we can work together safely.
The workshops take place in Club SoDa, the studio of DansBrabant, in Tilburg. The workshop lasts three hours.
The fee to participate (excl. Covid-19 testing) is
– regular: €30
– student discount: €17,50
